Chapter Twenty-Nine

Ysduil stuck close to me, taking my hand occasionally like we were two lovers strolling on a lakeside path. A few hours after we’d started, she slowed down, keeping hold of me to drag me back as well. Glasha raised an eyebrow at me when she and Amelie—still going the same speed as before—passed us. I gave her a shrug, to which she responded by shaking her head.

“Okay, Yssy, what’s up?”

“Nothing. I just want to take our time and enjoy being with each other.”

“Really?”

“Of course.” Her eyes darted toward the others, several paces ahead of us at this point. “And I wanted to talk about Erynth.”

I laughed. There it was. “What about her?”

“Oh my goddess,” the foxgirl said excitedly. “That tail. Do you know what she can do with it?”

“I have some idea.” Like the way she used it to precisely caress my…parts. I could only imagine what she could do with another woman. Or herself.

Ysduil shivered. “Soooo good. And her tongue? You didn’t tell me she had a long and dexterous tongue. With a few tips, she was able to do things for me…well, I haven’t felt anything that good since the last time I was with you. It’s been so long.”

I stopped and turned to face her squarely. “Yssy, it was yesterday, before we left Odonasia.”

Her lips pouted out. “That seems like a long time.”

I pulled her to me and kissed her. “It does. I’m glad that you enjoyed yourself, though.”

“It was more than that. You can consider it an audition.”

“An audition?”

“Yes. She has my approval, so now we need to bring her into our group. She is smart, powerful, sexy, and capable of giving you great pleasure. Can we keep her?”

I barked a laugh, swiveling Glasha’s and Amelie’s heads toward us. They probably heard everything, though I was trying to keep my voice down.

“Are you trying to build me a harem?” I asked, a tingle of excitement running through my body.

“Of course. You deserve to be surrounded with women. We can help you and keep you warm. We can make sure you always have all the pleasure you desire. You will never be lonely.”

I kissed my foxgirl again, then waggled my finger at her. “Ysduil, I love you, I really do. But you don’t need to try to throw all the women you can at me. I’m happy with you. Well, I mean, Glasha and Amelie, too, but there’s no need for you to search out other women for me.”

“You love me?”

I hadn’t realized I’d said that. It came out so easily. Of course, she’d fixate on that and disregard the rest of what I said.

“I do. I told you the other night, but I think you were asleep.”

“Awwww.” She jumped on me and wrapped her arms and legs around me, kissing my face like one of those birds that sit on the edge of a glass and bob to drink the water. “I love you, too. I didn’t want to make too big a deal out of it so I didn’t embarrass you or pressure you to say it to me.
